On December 6th, The Hive held it's first Holiday Cupcake Decorating Class, for children ages 5-12. During the hour-long event, kids enjoyed coloring activities, juice garnished with Christmas sprinkles, made Christmas countdown snowman, played a fast-paced game ending with everyone getting a festive gift, and finally wrapped up with the much-anticipated cupcake decorating!
Owner of The Hive, Melissa, taught the kids how to create two holiday cupcakes: a santa's hat and a Christmas tree garnished with "ornaments" and a gold star. All of the kids did exceptionally well, creating edible masterpieces of their own to take home and enjoy! Just when we thought the fun was about over, in walked Santa himself with reindeer goodie bags for all! He checked his naughty and nice list, and it just so happens that all of the evening's participants had made the "Nice" list for this year! After admiring the kid's work, Santa said goodbye for the night and that's where we ended the class.
Here's to a very merry Christmas for all, and thanks to all who participated in the holiday fun!
